Aaron Rodgers is the GOAT

Tom Brady is often called the greatest quarterback of all time– if not greatest footballer of all time. This belief has one problem and his name is Aaron Rodgers.

As shown below, Aaron Rodgers beats out Tom Brady in just about every individual statistical category.

The argument for Brady being the best also revolves around the New England Patriots and their success, not around Brady. Tom Brady has 5 Superbowl Rings but so do fifty-four other Patriots. Winning a Superbowl is a team effort. In twenty games without Tom Brady, over two different stints, the Patriots went 3-1 and a playoff worthy 9-7. The Packers have played 15 games without Rodgers. They went a less than stellar 6-8-1– including a nailbiter against a 0-16 Cleveland Browns. Since the 2008 season, FiveThirtyEight’s Elo Index has shown the Patriots to be consistently the better team every season except the 2011 season.

Being the Greatest of All Time is about being the greatest and not having the best team. Rodgers completed more passes, thrown more touchdowns and fewer interceptions than Brady even while throwing the ball deeper down the field. Aaron Rodgers is the GOAT.
