Milo is a Degenerate

And you know he is too! He always has been. Milo has gotten famous in the alt-right and other conservative fringe circles because of his strong opposition to the liberal elite and his knack for triggering feminists and social justice warriors.

Yesterday Milo was on C-SPAN to give a speech at a conservative event. A YouTube interview resurfaced from last year (back before he became as well known as he is now) where he makes some very crude remarks regarding child molestation by the clergy and pedophilia. He made similar remarks in another interview with Joe Rogan dating back in April:

If it weren’t for Father Michael, I would give far less good head

How old were you?

I was in my teens

At first you may think he’s just joking but he’s actually serious as he defends himself by asking Joe if he ever felt some sort of sexual attraction to a 15 year old girl.

This is not the only degenerate thing Milo has said. He gained prominence when he called Leslie Jones, a lead actress in the Ghost Busters reboot, a “fat black man.” And he even defended racist tweets by his fans calling her an ape.

So when Twitter decides to ban his account for breaking their terms and services (again) by instigating harrasment, he says they’ve “declared a war on free speech” and that they’re trying to censor conservativism.

Milo’s cycle basically work like this. He says something completely stupid and offensive. Gets called out for it. Hides behind free speech and we all d***ride on him because it’s his right to be an asshole.

First of all, Twitter has the right to ban behavior they don’t want on their platform. If you don’t like it, go somewhere else. Your right to free speech only protects you from the government, the private sector is fair game. Secondly, it’s kinda hypocritical that those arguing Twitter (a private business) shouldn’t be banning people from their platform because of what they say, are also  a lot of times the same people that believe private business should be able to deny service to anyone because of their race, religion, or gender.

But most importantly, we defenders of speech shouldn’t just blindly promote degenerate comments nor associate ourselves with degenerates like Milo. Promoting free speech doesn’t mean we need to condemn bigotry.

Moderate conservatives, libertarians, centrists, and realist centre-leftists should unite into primarily defending open discussion over good, constructive ideas. More importantly, discussions based on facts and not feelings.

They like to say they don’t care about feelings either but the irony is they care about feeling just as much and they’re just as, if not most likely even more untruthful than the regressive left.

Infowars and Breitbart are probably the least credible news sites out there but they’re home to free speech degenerates like Milo and the alt-right. When someone is saying that there are water polluants turning “the friggin frog gays” that is not factual. When the title of an articles is “Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy” that is not being factual either.

What they really care about is the feels. That feel of pissing someone by saying something triggering. It doesn’t have to be true, it’s the enjoyment of just making people angry. Always criticise this people. Use free speech to be truthful, to be correct; not as a joke. Be classy, be professional, be the bigger man.

All this can be best summed up as saying this:

  1. Don’t condone bigoted comments because someone has the right to say them. No-one is immune to criticism, scrunity is important to a truthful society
  2. Use free speech to primarily defend constructive discussion. To be truthful regardless if it’s offensive to some.
  3. But don’t say something just because you can. Be respectful, you shouldn’t say offensive things just to offend someone.
  4. Respect the rights private companies choose to do business with. If you don’t like it, then don’t do business with them

  1. Interesting article, the title especially drew me in. I wrote my own article about Milo Yiannopoulos, specifically his disinvite from CPAC, as well as the reason for it and the quotes you included.
